Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and letterforu ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, sealing a letter, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you're at least 16 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree with any part of the Terms, please don't use letterforu.

letterforu is a digital service for composing love letters, sealing them behind a cinematic reveal, and sharing them via a permanent link. Each sealed letter is delivered as a one-time digital keepsake tied to a unique token.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features from time to time. If a change materially affects letters you've already paid for, we'll do our best to honor the experience you paid for.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for anything that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us right away.

Some letters are tied to an "edit token" stored in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices without an account, you may lose access to unsent drafts. Signing in with email is the reliable way to reach your library from any device.

Whatever you write, the photos you upload, and the music you choose remain yours. You keep every intellectual-property right you had before you used letterforu.

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver it — solely for the purpose of running the service (rendering the letter, streaming media through the reveal, backing it up). We won't sell your letters or use their contents for marketing.

You agree not to use letterforu to:

• Send harassing, hateful, threatening, or unlawful content
• Upload sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate content
• Impersonate someone else in a way meant to deceive or harm
• Upload media you don't have the rights to use
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overwhelm the service, or bypass any paid feature

We can remove content that violates these rules and, when appropriate, suspend or terminate accounts.

Sealing a letter is a one-time paid action. Prices are shown before checkout in the currency listed. All payments are processed by our payment providers (Whop or Stripe) — we don't store your full card number on our servers.

Taxes may be added at checkout where required by law. Refunds are handled by our separate Refund Policy.

We aim for the service to be online whenever you need it, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. Occasional downtime for maintenance or third-party issues may happen.

letterforu is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You can stop using letterforu at any time. You can also delete individual letters or your entire account from your dashboard — deletion is permanent and can't be undone.

We may suspend or end an account that violates these Terms. If we do, we'll try to give you a chance to export anything you'd like to keep, unless the violation is severe or unlawful.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we'll give a heads-up by email or in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where letterforu is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection laws give you a stronger forum.
